The Spear and the Shield

What do you get when an irresistible force meets an immovable object?

"I have here an irresistible spear,"
An armourer of Chu proudly stated:
"And I also wield an impenetrable shield!"
As orders poured in, he elated.

"Your terrific rhetoric is lacking in logic,"
The brash skeptic loudly berated;
"If you throw one at the other, will you be undone?"
Sales and seller both soundly deflated.
