the owl

the owl

The white-cratered moon

Is glowing

In the gloomy

Cloudy sky

The brown owl

Sitting on a branch

Looking for prey

With yellowish-blackish eyes

Sharper then a knife

Making a loud

Echoing sound

Hoot, Hoot

Signaling sight

Of a mouse

Flapping its long wings

With orange feet

Ready for lift off

Leaping

Into the cold air

Many appear

Chasing

With rapid speed

Bumping each other

The mouse escapes

Then daylight appears

The owls retire

Resting

Until dusk

Returns

Really? That's amazing! This poem is so simple yet so descriptive! I love owls, I even have a cat that looks like one, so I enjoyed reading this thoroughly! The lines-
"Making a loud
Echoing sound"
Made me smile. The flow of it was unique to that section in the poem. I don't know why, but I enjoyed it the most.
Great job! I'm amazed!
