Within my reachA Poem by Pearl TshetloA story type of poem
WITHIN MY REACH
I need to abuse this book, I need to write of existence. I need to explain the methods of brilliance, A master among slaves, A dream that came with the waves. A method never used, Perfection not to be understood. But listen as i write, Listen to the terror in my letters. It gets lonely up here, like pain followed by a tear. happiness is absent. But understand, this writing is silent It speaks of no such truth Of no such understanding to authority. Her hands as perfect as clay, Her heart though... dark as ash. LOVE ME! she always cries out, her feet cannot carry her doubts anymore, her brain refuses bribes right at the door. Her words as sharp as knives, Her soul though flies with the wonders of the world. Her hope feeds the starving, her commitment so depriving. And her story has still not been told, but she sits waiting for the world to commit for society to understand and for her soul to find a deserted land. And there she will write of the love she had for them, of all the times she fought for them, but her hands were too small to reach, her guilt tough lessons it would teach. I have written of tale-tale lies and illusions, I have written of forever and beyond. But those were hinges that held our bond. I have written greatness for all to see, So understand, i am writing this to me... © 2013 Pearl TshetloAuthor's Note
