The Ignorance in love

The Ignorance in love

A Poem by Pearl Tshetlo
"

a good bye letter

"

...The Ignorance In Love...

Let me take a walk with you,

I want to hold your hand through the misty residue.

I will show you all the wonders of the world.

I could even make you my world.

We will laugh and cry together

I will risk it all and even promise you forever.

We will be so happy in our ignorance,

So bliss in our patience.

You will suffer not,

I will shadow all doubt.

You will breathe my oxygen, my love, my lust.

We will make the purest of love, as steamy as the earth’s crust.

You will trust me, while I turn a blind eye to your pain,

But you will understand as we cross that lane.

Let me take the last walk with you,

I want you to see the world as plain as it is.

I want you to see how vicious life will be.

That’s when you will see that you had the world

When you had me…

What a bittersweet this one is. There are lines of brilliance here that I fell in love with, then a quick detour that awakened...as if from a dream.

Thanks for the effective share
