Hear Me...A Poem by Pearl TshetloMy take on life
Hear Me...
Did anyone hear the sound of existence? The pace of resistance. It crawled down my spine like realisation It whispered with temptation Rise! It yelled Realise! It scolded me I heard that sound but still questioned, could it be? Could this be what I’ve been waiting to see? I write of thoughts I fantasise about Of a reality most unspoken about Now did anyone hear the thud? The anger of persistence It engraved itself in my thoughts It signed, sealed and delivered greatness There’s no room for lies nor fakeness I won’t bother nor listen I won’t ignore gravity Rather allow the unknown to cause insanity Listen to me as I speak truth Dwell with me to the pastor’s booth Today we lay our confessions naked Why cry about poverty when your thoughts are not sacred Listen to my story one day I will tell it before you lay It might lead you to understand and pray But listen to the announcement in my silence Grief and cry to my ignorance Hear me as my pen dances on paper I had written this for you, to reflect on later... © 2013 Pearl TshetloAuthor's Note
