Times like This

Times like This

A Poem by Peanut Albert Stowe
"

This poem was written after a hard break up I went through.

"
It’s times like this,
The ones that I fall on the floor crying,
That I miss your subtle kiss,
The one that kept me from dying,
That kept me trying.
It’s times like this,
When I’m alone in my room,
That I miss your subtle kiss,
That kept me from my doom,
And made me want to bloom.
It’s times like this,
When I see my utter demise,
That I miss your subtle kiss,
That saw the beauty in my eyes,
And saw through my lies.
It’s times like this,
When I look around,
That I miss your subtle kiss,
That drowned all sound,
And made me realize I was stabilized on the ground.
It’s times like this,
When I lie in bed so cold,
That I miss your subtle kiss,
That made me feel so bold,
And as rare as gold.
It’s times like this,
When I’m reminiscing times of bliss,
That I miss your subtle kiss,
That pulled me out of the abyss,
And into the furnace.
It was warm and dangerous,
And made me a bit more adventurous,
I’d do anything to go back to those times,
When I knew your kiss,
But now it’s a bell in the distance,
I can’t see it but I hear it’s everlasting chimes.
