And I Gladly

And I Gladly

A Poem by Incindie M. Coeur

it's funny how--

well baby, you know me.

the key

to my heart, i'd like to give to thee.

but alas, it was not there.

that important extra

click

that makes you stick

in my mind.

yet,

i think about you honey, all the time.

last night

our words together

flowed,

as the moonlight in the windows glowed.

and for you, what i had thought

was never there

proved me wrong, because

i was walking on air.

it was there.

but i had made myself sware

to protect my locket

in my pocket

i'd throw away the key--and lock it.

but i've realized now, my wonderful sugar pea

it's not as complicated as i thought it would be.

for the one i've been looking for

has been standing right in outside my door.

so tell me about yours, and i'll tell you about mine

for as of late, it's been divine.

and all i can say, is that i hope

that one of these sunny days it would be dope

if you would go on a walk with me

and have a chat

beside the sea,

because baby

all i want, is thee.
