Inside of the Outside

Inside of the Outside

A Poem by Incindie M. Coeur

she thought she would drown

oh, she thought she would drown.

the face of that clown, tore her away from that town.

the face that she knew,

oh the way that she flew

around town.

her thoughts--filled her head

as she climbed into bed.

and her heart sunk under the moon.

the time that she dreads,

its rhymes have been read

and deep into sleep, she fled.

the blanket of dark

wraps

around her,

at her waist she feels it,

hugging her. its soft

comfort, evelopes her.

and the darkness whispers,

it's safe in here,

is it safe out there?
