Blood In The Water.

Blood In The Water.

A Chapter by Babylon
"

At first, I wrote this on impulse. It's difficult to explain, but it's several combination of things.

"

The wicked witch approached me on this endless path, swooped me into her arms and told me of fantasies I shan't forget. The pixie dust prevailed and the colorful images full of successes made my head spin. She told me of a journey I must take across the lands and into the bottom of the ocean where all the sharks will await for me. As I approached these unknown parts, I felt mad for even standing at these gates. I broke off the padlock and was quickly swarmed for my intrusion. They circled me, scanning my figure and pinpointing my weaknesses. Their smiles were full of jagged teeth, rotted with dried up blood and countless collected bones; nothing of how the witch described them.
They told me I could become one of them if I could pass the tests. They said to find the blood in the water and follow its trail until I find what I'm really looking for. I could no longer breath for I wasn't a shark, just a mere existing human being that become caught up in something bigger than I  expected.
I swam through these trials, using my senses to guide me to my prey. I hoped no one had already got to my prize. I finally found it, hanging onto dear life, and glory never looked so good. I reached out to grab my goal and once again, my head spun with empty promises. It quickly snapped back and I was surrounded by the sharks once more. I wondered how they got here so quickly to tear me down, but their jaws were clamped on my head and I saw one laughing, bragging about how deceitful dreams can be and how foolish I was to not except the harsh reality of the world.
"We stay in the deepest parts because it is nearly frozen over. No one with a dream to survive can make it here and if your heart is warm, you will be ripped apart by the souls who don't eat for days, yearning for something more than this cold existence. We are the monsters who lurk in the shadows, the ones who always accept the low-lives, and the scum who sign papers, lying and hiding behind a mask with a smirk spread on their faces. We're not afraid of the people, the people are afraid of the power that they will never know because we simply do not tell them. Always remaining a mystery so they continue to ask questions. Few rebel, but fewer make it. The few that make it come to us with nothing but dreams, ambitions, to make a change--Just like you. They are defiant but the text books and the never ending files will make the dreams slowly diminish and when they can look at a twelve year old straight in the eyes after the rapist stands up, brushing off his suit, and winks at her--Our job is done and we have created yet another monster to add on our collection that we love to call society."

About
People say I am a contradiction in itself; that I am an oxymoron that just keeps providing surprises. A puzzle missing pieces that you'll never find. I am a beast at bay, sitting at the end of the tab.. more..
