A Chapter by Babylon
"

About how society is hypocritical. They tell us to be original, to expand our wings but when we finally get the courage, they knock us down on our knees, putting us in a cage too tight so our wings will deform and eventually disappear until we conform.

"

Shapes morphed as you watched the crackling of this cocoon.
Taking a first breath into a whole new world bathed in light instead of sulking in darkness where the nights were endless and you had to keep yourself warm.
As your arms stretched out, your eyes stretched the truth.
You were already hostage and locked in this cage before you came. Slamming against the glass with fists full of rage and confusion, it becomes harder to decipher how you got there. Fingerprints and fogged, anxious breaths on the glass will await for you to climb the stick and succeed in the only mission only you think is important. Extrication.
When you get out, you're teased. Your eyes squint as you're shown a new world and your senses begin to kick in, but you are choked by the sudden grasp of those who set you free. Their laughter rings the halls as they grab you by the wings and throw you back in your cell. Walking away with their arms crossed behind their back, exchanging dirty looks at you and dimes through their hands.

At first when reading this I thought about Resident Evil, but after reading your explanation it makes a lot more sense, and I appreciate it more. That is true, society does tell you to be unique then bash you for letting your inner core flow. simply deep. great job
