Negative Bullets

Negative Bullets

A Poem by Peacegal

Your negative bullets didn't hit me today
This bulletproof vest I'm wearing is called Faith!
Your bullets ricocheted off the skin of my back
It didn't penetrate
It just bounced right back
Your negative bullets just grazed past my ear,
It wasn't that I didn't hear you
But that I didn't care
Your bullets you shot in my direction to hurt
Only backfired instead, just like it should
Your negative bullets, so many you did choose,
To do harm to me
When in fact it damaged You!

I like the strength in your voice here, how true too that we develop a thick skin that protects us from those terrible assaults.
