As A Child

As A Child

A Poem by peacefrog

Color inside the lines,

Don’t dare go out.

Breaking the bold

Can cause much doubt.

Bright colors will do

A little red and some blue.

Purple will work as well,

Just combine the two.

What will it be

With color of all sorts.

A chapel or cottage,

Maybe a busy seaport.

Colors and hums,

Til the masterpiece is done.

The boy colors gaily

Under the bright yellow sun.
