writers block

A Poem by pdumont1

"death, destruction, hurt"
no, thats not right
the next line i have no idea what to insert.

"love, affection,feelings of great!"
s**t, that isnt right.
i have no feelings that can relate

"a sound, a noise, a great big Thud!"
F**K! I GIVE UP!
these thoughts are getting backed up like a historic flood

"nothing, negative, blank"
thats more like it
so many thoughts and feelings...

Sometimes words on paper are just enough. While grammar, punctuation and prose do matter. I'm not really one of those people. I like it. It's like a big ugly hammer with character. It bashes it's way into a poem.

very good... this is a perfect description of how most of the better poems get made... my own personal way is fighting with the thoughts in my head until i beat them into submission... then they cooperate and work with me in ways i couldnt even begin to do alone... sometimes our thoughts are our greatest allies... other times our worst enemies
