A DAY SHORT OF FOREVERA Poem by Patrick D FeroThe struggle of goodHonor grows slowly, loath to take root; frail rose of infinite attention. Contempt blooms in an instant, vile weed thriving on neglect and rejection.
The promises of rosy cradle can die just a week more than never. The struggle stretching out straining, seems to fall a day short of forever.
But against the power of caring, thorned complaints of a lifetime fail, and the careless litany of hate wanes, while graceful deeds instantly prevail. © 2012 Patrick D Fero |
