The Kingdom That Never Was

The Kingdom That Never Was

A Poem by Paul Wallace
"

Nothing: a nonexistent thing or being

"

Walls of black line the empty city

I can feel the breeze that isn't there

I am the only one, what an empty pity

It never existed, it never will

I feel the pain, then left with despair

I watch like time has stood still

It could have be a brilliant wonder

Gold linig every street, every lane

But it didnt, it had to blunder

The year had never happened

The day had never came

Yet the city began to descend

It fell until it became nonexistent

Cursed to nothingness forever

I can see now, nothing is not so distant

I can see it all now just because

I realised how it feels to be severed

I look upon The Kingdom That Never Was

I imagine so....

Wow - three lines and so much emptiness and lonliness is felt.

Bravo, my friend.
