Frostbite

Frostbite

A Poem by Paul Wallace

The aching cold froze my chin

I wore a coat but it got in

I fear the cold may finally win

I was wading through the icy snow

finding a place to rest, god I was slow

I started to lost my feet, toe by toe

And when it came I thanked the lord

They gave me a drink and I felt restored

I know ill never go back on my own accord

The aching cold froze my chin

I wore a coat but it got in

I fear the cold may finally win

I found a cave covered with white

I had to  get out of the wind's sight

for my face had serious frostbite

The aching cold froze my chin

I wore a coat but it got in

I fear the cold may finally win

I waited for god knows how long

For some help to come along

The aching cold froze my chin

I wore a coat but it got in

I fear the cold may finally win
