Light's Battle

Light's Battle

A Poem by Paul Wallace
"

A Poem about light and darkness.

"

I fought the darkness with a spear of light

and wore golden plates and mail

My dark foe gave me a fright

holding his destructive flail

I fought hard until i could go no more

thinking that light was not the key

i looked at his face and i my heart tore

for he was an image of me

Love your ending. It's a surprise and really wowed me as a reader.

Some lines were rather weak, such as "I fought hard until i could go no more". It's just...a little boring.

I like "holding his destructive flail". It's unique and interesting.

Overall, I really like the poem, but it could be worked on a little. I like that you kept the rhyme and the theme, and of course, the ending had quite the impact.
