the Ever-Awaiting Response to the Most Rhetorical Words That Can Be Written

the Ever-Awaiting Response to the Most Rhetorical Words That Can Be Written

A Poem by Moebia
"

Suicide's responses to all the letters written...

"
My darlings,
why do you disturb me?
Why do you wish me
to clip your wings
so early in this life,
why wouldn't you want to fly?

Ave Maria,
look at the mess to clean.
That's not up to me!
If you had stayed to see
the look upon their faces
and the water in their eyes
I think you may have
changed your mind

It's too late now to spare you now,
but what do I have to gain,
one less life to take.
One less unsettled soul
to grip by the talons
and drag away

No, I wish you had only
thought a bit
I speak not for myself,
who can either do with or without,
I speak for those hurting
in your absence

Yes, I know how you felt
I felt it too in my time
of life, perished I am now
as well, fallen to the same
weakness; I was the first
but not the last...

About
I am no writer of the sort. These are my musings, my arts, my flutters of thought. Call them what you may--but a poet is not anything that I am. I have been immersed in my violin for nearly a deca.. more..
