Old Friend

Old Friend

A Poem by Moebia
"

sadness.

"
Old friend
you come again
to visit, to take root
and I can't help but
remember
everything about
you
the way you
took hold of me
stabbed my chest
with the worst kind
of sadness
and the saltiest tears
you were my
friend.
the one who told me
I'm no princess,
I'm no angel
wise, you were
and for many sunsets
and sunrises
you left me
cold, waiting
but relieved,
that you were
away
i forgot of you,
made new friends
like the sun and
stars
i became a star
myself, fell
in love with
the sun, who
made me
shine.
now i can feel you
crawling up my
jagged, shaking
spine
into my thoughts
where you,
once again
tell me all the
wisdom you
told me before.
and I fell to my
knees, much harder
than ever before
I let you,
you
foolish
s**t
I let you
take the best
part
of
me.
let
you
ruin
me.

I am no writer of the sort. These are my musings, my arts, my flutters of thought. Call them what you may--but a poet is not anything that I am. I have been immersed in my violin for nearly a deca.. more..
