I never thought I needed you,

but you're the air I breath

and the food I eat.

I never thought that you

would mean anything to me.

But I'm dreaming of you in my sleep. 

I never thought that we 

would ever be so close.

But we're together all the time.

I never thought that they

would take you away from me.

But apparently, our actions make us who we are.

No, that can't be true. 

You're a good person,

a good person to me...

But were you a good person to him,

the boy at the corner store,

who got a bullet through his brain?

I never thought you would do such a thing,

yet here we are,

sitting in front of the faceless judge.

He's got a plan on his mind.

I think he wants to take you away from me.

But if he does, he'll take my life, too.
