For So Long

For So Long

A Poem by Moebia
"

Oh, how I've loved you...

"

Oh I've loved you for so long.

I've looked into your eyes and seen

the light that hides within.

And for the longest time

I have wanted to

caress your face and

call you mine.

I've sat so long

in my seat, pretending

that I didn't care.

When the truth was

I notice every little

thing.

I notice when you

 don't look at me,

or when you

don't say hello.

I notice when you

look at her

from across the room

and smile.

And I especially noticed,

when you laughed and

shook your head,

and said "I love you!"

When I know that

you were only joking.

How badly I wanted

to believe your words.

But I know in doing so,

I'd be stabbing the hand

that holds me up to stand.

Oh I've loved you for so long,

and I know the truth is,

you don't feel the same.

I am no writer of the sort. These are my musings, my arts, my flutters of thought. Call them what you may--but a poet is not anything that I am. I have been immersed in my violin for nearly a deca.. more..
