beg

A Poem by paul

the sleeping sea
begins to wake

waves to give
waves to take

nervous little sandgrains
beg for mercy

Nice! From slack tide to high tide, the sand has to take it!

It's quite something to be able to write about begging for mercy, and "nervous little sandgrains" is what it makes of us when we do. Some of us are only made of sandgrains but maybe the sleeping seas are at sea.

I was just at the sea and this tickled my mind. Loved the ending. Brilliant.

The last two lines... love. I giggled. And then, I thought it might also be a little sad. Because it is, if you really think about it.
