seriously. how do you do that. i've half a mind to write this same poem... and show you how it would take me two pages at the very least to say the same damn thing.
it's all superb, but that first part gets me. heavens stretch alone together... well and then the middle part... and the last, of course... the summation of it all... great, grand things in tiny packages.
I feel like all of your poems are snapshots of a complete story. They're like pieces to a puzzle.
I have known writers to be concise, but I have never seen one that does so as consistently as you. Despite this, all of your poems come across as sounding fresh, original, and powerful despite the fact that I have probably written more words in this very review than in any 10 of your poems.
This one is my favorite so far, because it expresses three perfect truths in four words each. It's been a pleasure to read you today, Paul.
