huddle

huddle

A Poem by paul

raindrops lost
in the wind

infinities count
their blessings

the city huddles
against the storm

yeah
and we wait
for storms to leave
we wait for relief
countless times
cringing cities can only cringe
cringing cities can't fight storms
blessings are a blessing
for we can count them
while we wait for storms to pass
else we'd have nothing to count
and nothing to count on

Six lines, blow my mind. Simplicity, within Mensa level intellect.

Love it1

and the rain...did it come?...to wash away the memories of a hazy past....

waiting for it
glad it didn't hit
and the day was saved.

This to me, creates a sense of togetherness within the city as a whole as if the storm is one big bad evil force which the city stands up to..

- maybe it's raining profound poems - it's a rare vision - and you see it so well - and render it so delicately! -

I love the word huddles. I call that lieing in bed in the morning feeling 'scrumbles'. There is comfort in the city, floudering in the raindrops. Sheesh, I'm talkative this morning, haha. Sorry. :) You do these small thoughts in such a big way. Very beautiful.
