A Poem by paul

the thing with the nighttime is that
it chases the day

over and over
again

like yin and yang
trying to end

. and wouldn't that be the ultimate end ... i was with eben for only about 2 hours ... within the first two hours of his arrival ... outsiders arrived ... and then kept on filling us up ... for seven months ... while ... we ... brutalized ... reached a point of perpetual disintegration ... eben actually said one crazy romantic morning ... picture perfect ... and poetic ... that we should get stoned immaculate and kill ourselves ... yin and yang can be totally silly sometimes ... because they're poignantly weak ... to crawl out of that weakness takes a lot of strength and support ... poetry helps ... and your poetry helps infinitely ...

- and these chases - are always circular - no angles - no points - and like serah said - your poetry helps - with strength and support - where the day's fingertips - stretch just beyond the reach of the night - there is the hope - of a poetic sunset - :) -

yin and yang chase each other; that's the motion while you and i take place, also chasing each other

I've read this thread of seperation of night and day in your poems with interest... I wrote a piece of prose once about twilight and how it was the majestic meeting of night and day, meeting each other like clandestine lovers with fingertip touch. I suppose that is so entrenched in my mind that I find it hard to think of them being out of reach of eachother. But of course, your poetics shine through skilfully and make my own perception irrelevant.
