. oh wow ... i have never ever read anything ... where madness is seen as the safety mechanism ... that springs up chaos to save us from worse ... there's a rare submission and gratitude to the universe here ... one that is both humbling and divine ... at the same time ... the analogy of the wind is startling ... another unique dimension of your poetry ... but here you allow us readers to unravel it with a new awareness ... yes, it's the wind that saves us from the monotony of that which is monotonous and tedious ... i know this so well ... when i sit on the terrace with still air ... it is like being consumed by a vacant emptiness ... indeed the leaves try hard to carry the wind ... rustling and giving us evidence ... and yet ... if we look at the leaves as a pun ... in the sense of that which leaves ... sometimes that which leaves has to try hard to leave ... or we have to try hard to make it leave ... you etch in silver on the most beautiful teak, paul ... and you say so much to and about the universe ... in such few words ... amazing, just amazing ...

I'm surprised I never comented on this-- it's at least marked as a favorite.
Even though you added this over a year ago, I still think about it sometimes. I guess it just kind of stuck with me... it's really good.

Just wanted to stop by and let you know,
and while I'm at it, to thank you for the kind compliments.

- wow!!! - yet again - your genius is sparkling!!! - i so agree with serah - these are images no one else can conjure - the very thought of madness protecting us - is so exquisite!! - you're right - in a world where one person is expected to be just like the other - it is our quirks and eccentricities that help us survive - because an assembly line person is the last thing one would want to be!! -
- the leaves do have a task at hand don't they! - stillness - need dissolution - and that's what they do!! -
- absolute genius - layers, dimensions, metaphors, images, expression, brevity, elements - they surrender gladly to your pen!!! -

I watch the leaves tracing their own path these days..as they fall without any guilt or remorse..
