lying like the sky

lying like the sky

A Poem by paul

hungry like the nighttime
to murder the day

hungry like the wind
to blow away

desparately dying and lying
for words

lying like the sky
dying to be heard

sunset is bloodshed
dying days, nights being born
the start of an end

this is truly incredible poetry - the vastness of your elements (yours they are) is astounding - and the prisms through which your poetic eye views the goings-on - is simply startling - you're a magician - who takes the mundane - and in just a few words - turns it into the most extraordinary sculpture - and we watch and listen - gaping and stone silent - as we are engulfed - by the sheer genius - of your poetic voice.

desperately dying and lying
that's what i do
and i'm desperately trying
so i'm black and blue

THere is a deconstructing-esque method to your poetry. Upon first sight its simple, but with a more attentive eye, its a beautiful abyss. And strikes fear or whatever is meant to be felt (harrowingly, I might add) with each stanza.

dirt is good.
good doesn't rhyme with food.

it just looks like it does.

lying like the sky
paining like a sty
when eyes hurt
life's just dirt

TAO
Why not call it "Lying like the sky"? Paul, you've done it (and what I mean is, great work).

you have the secret salve that cures writer's block, my friend. And you apply it in very crafty ways.
