like a brilliant poem, for the garbage can.

like a brilliant poem, for the garbage can.

A Poem by paul

I run away from heaven
hell is just
always there

so easy to fall
and swim its murky waters

and the devils wait so patiently

knowing sooner or later
my money will be theirs

my soul
will be theirs

to crumple up
like a brilliant poem
for the garbage can.

okay both the title, and the final stanza ARE brilliant! all too apt.. i often wonder where my words will end up one day. lining the wastebasket of some forgotten bookshop perhaps? (provided i can stop procrastinating and get these done lol) and it also depends on whether they end up being something anyone even stocks in their bookshops - never mind their home shelves ;)

ah - so - there will be blessed garbage cans in hell - and i'd never thought i'd see the day!!

i mostly have nothing to say - but words just spill - here and there - and nowhere in particular - until the whirring of the day - becomes one - with the spiral of the words - and there's no need to say anything anymore

Sometimes i do worry..why am i writing for whom,why..there are few words which are remembered for an eternity..mine will never be there..and yet i write..perhaps there is no other way to peace for me.

. this is very unlikely ... i think the devils will end up reading ... and then they just won't be devils any more ... the photo copier in hell ... will finally be put to use ... for making copies of everything you write ... wanna bet? ...

Theres- should be theirs. I only nitpick because you have written an otherwise clever poem.
