it s just a train coming

it s just a train coming

A Poem by paul

when the rain stops
and the sun sets

and the muse

has abandoned you.
don t come running

cause you ll only find all the doors closed

when youre sweeping up the words
and the fanfare has all died

come running
you ll only find

all the doors closed

when all the love is made don t  stop

i ts just a train coming

when the train is out of gas

and the wind has it s revenge

don t stop running

out there in the sea

it s only you or me.

when they ve sucked your soul like
vampires in the night

don t come running.

Theres no where to go.

so you see?  Its all in vain.
'no winner, no loser in the game'

but you could fight, you just can t win

. oh, and i thought only i knew ... this inspires ... and reminds me of something ... something that took me a long time to remember and process ...

in an intimate moment
one of the first few
you touched me
i cringed in a corner

you read me
incorrectly
that one moment
changed us

and chained us
as you recoiled
in my silent daze
and i sobbed

i didn't know
that i could've said
don't stop
i didn't know

i was alive then
now i live
in the consequences
of my silence

. thank you for writing this, paul ... indeed ... there ain't no winner or loser ...

when the rain stops
and the sun sets

and the muse

has abandoned me.

I will probably run
and fight

because I am hard-headed

even when
the train stops running
even when I can't win

it's just how I'm made.

yea, i dig this, read it a few times and seems to get clearer each time, you cut to the chase and show whats behind the curtain, the rotted velvet rope...you can fight, you just cant win....i can dig that.
