Vapour Kiss

Vapour Kiss

A Poem by Patrick Davies
"

An imprint. Left by a girl who didn't get a chance to say goodbye to the one she loves...

"

Found you condensed.

Beady texture and eyes

Fixed and following.

Why here? Why now? Why me?

Mirrors and glass

Reach out to yourself, herself.

A diamond droplet

For here, for now, for me.

A vapour kiss

From her, for now, to me.

Grey lady grinning,

Her ghost, a steam stalker.

White woman whining,

The girl, a cold captive.

Found you under.

Beady texture and eyes

Concealed and peaceful.

Why here? Why now? Why you?

Drowned whilst bathing.

Touching her lips, with your lips,

A ruby droplet

For here, for now, for me.

A vapour kiss

From her, for now, to me.

Wow! i have to say that i truly loved reading this poem; the thing that really grabbed my attention
was the title itself. I love the way you have written your poem
"For here, for now, for me.

A vapour kiss,

From her, for now, to me.:

i just admire those lines, they stand out through the whole poem
and the emotion in the second stanza is just beautiful, i love this poem.

Tell you? About me? But what of the consequences? Oh God, the things they could do to my life if I handed it over... A background from which they could merge into the foreground - a window, an opening.. more..
