Hay Making TimeA Poem by Sagar PatilIts short, read it!
The sun was floating on the horizon
And shaking hands with both day and the night He peeped below in mirrors of the ocean And blessed some eyes and trees by lending light Self light'd and puffed a cigar whose smoke sails As cloud and smog on winds and out of sight Invisible behind him zillion jewels With feeble blaze, they jealously await His slumber so they could come out and dwell Alas eve chased the noon with furious hate Stars gladly wink now as we sit to dine Moon steals Sun's glow and rules the darkened state Remember this while you're fit, young and fine That even mighty suns have to decline Its only for so long that one can shine My son, its just so long that one can shine © 2010 Sagar Patil |
