flames to a fire

flames to a fire

A Poem by We May Well Be The Ones

every whisper
every scream
you won't control me
I was given these fingers
to say what I need
they have stories
you thought you could beat me
down on my knees
I'm not caving
even when I've lost everything
I'll keep dreaming

you rid me of family
rid me of peace
where's this going?
I'm tired of tough love
is that's what it means
I feel ugly
the scars in my memory
are from deceased
I'm trying to breathe
all my of skewed veins
are misguiding me
it's undeserving

what's to expect, I am only a man
I'm not ready
my frame's made of flesh
my face isn't masked
these bones are heavy
cut off my feet
tear open my hands
it's what I'm needing
spit in my blood
and bark your demands
I am leaving

External harm internal pain.
Great choice of word's to describe the feelings.
We all have a voice and most don't use it.
THEY'RE AFFRAID.
Good Job.
No, Great job.
I like your stuff, so don't go nowhere haha.
Keep it up well done again.

You are F***ing awesome, and so is this poem. I think we all feel this way occasionally and you've used your fingers to say exactly what you need here, and in a beautiful and poetic way! The flow is so relaxing and yet the message is like a rude awakening-I love the contrast! keep up the great writing and thanks for sharing!
