heart beats never last

heart beats never last

A Poem by We May Well Be The Ones

oh you buried me quickly
like I wasn't alive
will you remember my eyes?
while you're leaving goodbye
do you remember the late nights
when you lied next to me
we verbally dreamt beautifully
while you're feeling his body
I've only pillows and sheets
you said you did, but did you ever love me?

I thought we would rule
the world as a team
now all I have
is you dictating my dreams

oh my heart's feeling dirty
cause it took in your lines
will you remember the times?
when I really I touched you
do you even feel anything?
knowing you walked away
I needed you more now than ever
but "you don't know what to say"
I'm sorry I fucked you
I thought we were making love
but every movement was worth giving up
I was never enough

I hope that you end up
like ashes and dust
you're just dirt in the rough

when you lied next to me
we verbally dreamt beautifully
while you're feeling his body"

I love these lines. I think it's because I can relate as bad as that sounds so you nailed it to me.
