Living In Twilight

A Story by We May Well Be The Ones
"

this is just another part of me open for display

..where the night sky takes over your inhibitions, it sets you free to hear sounds and view sights you've not yet endeavored.
a time when your flaws can be hidden by the naked eye with nothing more than the darkened clouds to protect you.

and when the city awakes come morn, they won't know of the beautiful moments that transpired just hours before, they won't speak in smart tongues and instead just stretch their tired frames for yet another day of complacency.

it is the meditation in memories
the canvas of playful gestures
is this life, or is it just mine?

For some reason, I feel like I'm wanting more... especially in the beginning. I know I'm going to sound vague but I do see the tragic beauty of hidden flaws being revealed when the world passes on, and the way you depicted it is beautiful, for a start. But personally, I want more images to help me feel and understand more of the disconnection between your extended epiphanies and other's careless realities. The question at the end is thoughtprovoking but I think that the division of what you feel compared to how others mindlessly pass through life could be better emphasized.

Other than that, I like your idea. Keep up the good work. :)

Good question at the end. Personally, I feel everyone living in a big city can relate to this. Some of us will notice nocturnal activity. Others just sleep through it and miss out. I my view, it can be anyone's life, if they make the effort to listen.

Secondly, I don't feel that nocturnal activity in general, necessaryl evokes the creepy bad things. Sometimes it's a good thing to forget the so called 'inhibitions' ...
