Wicked WordsA Poem by pastelrosesThis is about not letting what people say get you down.Your wicked words are like salient swords, Silently slitting my silky skin, Causing the crimson blood to flow freely From my balmy body, Like a wild waterfall. Your wicked words are like ghastly guns, Secretly searing my satin skin, Causing the penetrating pain to flow freely, Throughout my bridal bones, Like an effective electrocution. Your wicked words are supposed to, Make me furiously fall, To the grim ground, Causing my body to become forever frozen and frail, Like a crumbling corpse. However I won't let your words, Spread inside my body, Like a deadly disease. I will, Refuse. To listen to your toxic tales And suffocating screams. I will. Refuse. To believe I am violently valueless And increasingly inferior. I will. Stand up tall And protect myself from this detrimental damage. I will. Stop being a victim of your wicked words And I will Believe. That your wicked words Don't mean a damn thing to me. © 2015 pastelrosesReviews
