Deathly Disease

Deathly Disease

A Poem by pastelroses
"

This is about being angry and letting the anger take over.

"

You're a dangerous disease

Deceitfully, destroying

My silky shell,

Savagely suffocating

My lightly lit- lungs.

You're a mediocre monster

Sinfully searing

My fresh flesh

With your wretched words

 Of watered-down wisdom

Wishfully wanting

Your viscous victory

You're a carbonated cigarette,

Painfully poisoning,

My lemon lips

leniently lusting,

For one simple blow

You're a blistered bomb

Beautifully burning,

My hollow heart

Frantically freeing

My sugar soul,

From the dangerous disease

The mediocre monster,

The carbonated cigarette,

And the

Blistered bomb.

We have all let the genie out the bottle at some time and regretted it. Its a frustrating life we lead these days and sometimes anxiety levels reach tipping point. It doesnt make them a bad person. We all have our own ways of keeping a lid on the simmering pot, but sometimes it spills over.
Some great word play here and I love thst you call it a poison, as that it surely is.
