Ever A Summer's Day

Ever A Summer's Day

A Poem by Patricia Ponce

Ever a summer's day each rendezvous
close to hearth nevertheless a world away,
through grape vines sprinkled with life stock
towards adventure through come what may

destiny's compass tossed to the wind
sweetly kissing awake possibility
into a gossamer dream catcher
where hope is host and prayer never fails
though it were nirvana itself

for imagination reigns
as faithful servant to sweet hearts' desire
wild blue yonder's laughter romances Eros' moon shining halo
casting spent two satisfied constellations
laying us in bed of roses gilded Love's dream

I am completely in love with the way you work your imagery. I'm a sucker for good imagery, and this one stands out. Wonderfully penned; great job.

Thanks for sharing! :)

"sweetly kissing awake possibility"

I have awoken to find this exquisite and beautiful poem. Words such as yours are that which define love and make it the miracle of life that it is. The path to peace and happiness begins in the heart and you have touched my heart.

Well Done!
