Aphrodite's Call

Aphrodite's Call

A Poem by Patricia Ponce

Aphrodite's Call

Have you ever showered amongst the rain...

Hoping to cleanse away heart wrenching pain...

No I don't mean just letting go when caught...

In a storm by surprise and robbed of thought...

Rather to lather away your sorrow...

Although it's embedded in your marrow...

Entranced purposely mad you heed her call...

Shrouded in darkness you dance as tears fall...

Scenting wild air mired sand with lavender...

Suds as you incarnate her love's power...

Feeling stroking rubbing your body's ache...

Into the ocean's abyss then partake...

In a soaking rebirth when rain tears sea...

Fit to swallow you yet you conquer free...
