As Thus

As Thus

A Poem by Patricia Ponce

As Thus

As would fireball cure midsummer night's blues
when fairytale parachutes
thus effervescent mist, crystallized a hue
of floating dust whose dreams flew

As desolate moon, torrid...will love wax
when wild wind heeds, one's lusty sax
thus current waters bury treasures deep
incubus' hour of atonement...grained sands' sleep

As nebula gives birth upon its death
when burn out... multiplies star gazer's wealth
thus hellish demise begins compost
when heavenly exalted that loved most
