Break-up

Break-up

A Poem by We are young.

That sunny April day was drowned.

By a parade of tears, that cascaded in every which way.

Destroying everything in their path.

Putting an end to the flame that burned between us.

The ramains are ashes.

But I feel like so much more,

for something has risen from those ashes.

Yes, you did break my trust.

Yes you did kill this relashionship.

But I have become so much stronger.

I have to do this for myself,

I just want to smile.

To laugh, and not worry for at least a month.

Is that so much to ask?

I can do this you see,

But without you beside me.

It's time to move on.

It doesn't matter how hard.

I will only be stronger in the end.

You vividly bring about the essence and emotion of the poem. Strength arising through the sorrow... so beautifully done.
