Black Metal

I've loved Norwegian and French black metal for years. Finally, I threaded together a few lyric-like lines to express my devotion. Fans can play "Spot-the-Band-Names". Honestly, it's pretty cliched.

Black Metal
grinds the whetstone
forged in hatred
keen and cold

Black Metal
arming Norse hordes
emergent from
immortal fjords

Black metal
of pagan creed
pillages the priory
burns the church

Black Metal
inverted cross
upon the chest
satanic scowl

Black Metal
clasps the enslaved
of foreign faith
admits no shrift

Black Metal
beats the drum
lets loose
guttural growl

Black Metal
unstoppable force
subterranean lava
glacial drift

I don't advocate church-burning. It's kind of a "metal" trope.
