The gargoyles and I

The gargoyles and I

A Poem by Jim Pike

Good afternoon my love
How are you today?
Can you feel my kisses upon your brow?
From up here my friends the gargoyles and I
My wings twitched like a cats tail
The moment I saw you walking up the steps
I told them all about you
Everything
Even though I know how to lie
I can see that some of them believe
It makes me feel so good inside
Can you feel those kisses?
up here my friends the gargoyles and I
