Reflectance Found

A Poem by Jim Pike

What demon haunts me in this dream,
Pitch black and cold what could it mean?
Like spears and knives this fear doth cut,
My soul does shake and tell me what,
What can I do, where can I go,
To shake this darkness tell me so.
Nightmare oh horror leave me be,
This veil please lift so I can see.
And where am I, what is this place,
I hold a candle to your face.
And right beside me all along,
To hold me close for right or wrong.
Your love hath saved me, fear doth fade,
Dark gives to light, this you have made.
A day does come now I can feel,
Oh give me courage, let me kneel.
For this to me is something new,
These tears the joy of finding you.
