Perfect Stranger

Perfect Stranger

A Poem by Pâro

And suddenly
I see you,
like the stars
reveal themselves
out of daylight,
I see you

Why couldn't I find you before?
Where did you come from?
And why does this
perfect stranger
care about me
of all people

I was fine,
content even,
before I met you
but you gave me
a gift
that I didn't even know
I needed

How dare you give me
everything you have
and make me
feel
like I had forgotten how

Because every moment
that I can't have you
hurts
in a way that only lovers know

But I guess that's what we have been,
lovers,
since the moment
you stole me
from my unknowing, naïve
peace
and called me
yours

I felt your poem, words have been so delicately tied together. Beautifully written ❤

Your words so beautifully express both the bliss and anxiety that come when love appears... the joyful musings and the painful ponderings of who we are now that another has connected to our soul. Amazing.
