In the Snow

You are my love,

My only love,

You are always with me, and I with you

 

I see you in our home,

In my mind,

In the snow you love so much,

 

But things always change,

Where are you?

Where did you go?

 

Now, you’re only in my mind

Your face is all I see

Everywhere I turn, snow is falling,

 

The world covered in white,

But you have been gone for a while,

You are forever in my mind, my heart, in the snow

Can I be honest for a moment? This poem is far better than your first post! I read this with a sigh, as poetry on love often does. I get the sense of lost love, and the sense of time progressing on "the world covered in white" - and it feels cold. In the last line, it's like you're saying goodbye. It's like you're sitting there with a book on your lap, just finished. You may be done reading it, but the story/memory of it still resonates -- and it feels warm.
