Silence

Silence

A Poem by parker

Don't say the words,
Don't speak your mind.
Please don't make me run away.
I'll cover your mouth,
I'll cover my ears.
I refuse to hear the words you say.
I know you think
We need to talk,
But I don't think that's true.
What we've got
Works fine for me,
I don't want something new.
A grin from you
Is all I want,
Don't make things complicated.
You want me labeled
With your name,
You want me incarcerated

At first, I must admit, it didn't draw me in. BUT after a few lines I started to really enjoy it! The ending was so good. I really loved the last line!

As soon as they say "we have to talk" you know it's going to bed bad. Great last line
