Happy Place

Happy Place

A Poem by Parker

It's not always easy to ask for help
Because needing it, is hard to admit to ourselves
"I can handle it on my own just fine"
We can say it a million times,
but that doesn't make it not a lie
Who are we trying to convince?
Hiding that we feel broken and need to be fixed,
except we're not broken and need repair
We're just injured and are scared
It isn't something that should stop us
Regardless of those who say we love the drama,
because realistically, who would choose this?
To live life in a way that feels like s**t
It just shows the ones who say that, are ignorant
Who talk just because they have mouths and can't take a hint
Stick to your bases, anything that makes you feel calm
Those will give you serenity and make you feel strong
And it may sound cliche to say
Nevertheless, find your happy place.
