transcendence lost

transcendence lost

A Poem by Justin

Where mental fortitude begins so appeases anguish
Deftly eluding the hands of withered cynics
You breathe in us the teaseing of an esoteric nature.
Misanthropic convolution whispers what we wish we were not but so fully are.
You told us that truth would never evade us.
The people live their lives in black-light ecstasy.
fate forever calls he who stands alone to be the sacrificial redeemer

struggling to find a path in vain
Yet an unbound mind overcomes the fiercest rain
Life's sadness relents and thankfully so.
But a flurry of penitence breaks our resolve.
Down come those wave battered walls

Abundant seas of an arcane knowledge begin to boil away.
Days wracked with the degradation of a mind submerged
Nights plagued by unspeakable horror and fitful sleep
Incurring the death of solipsistic surety

Subjective thoughts pervade the world at large.
Bigotry and intolerance cast a darkened veil of deception.
Humanity's hopes of a transcendent future fade into oblivion
Is that black-massed world the final frontier?
Frozen nothingness envelops wholly as is the fate of all known existence
