misunderstanding

Misunderstanding… what is it ???

When did you understand me for the first time?

When did you realize why I’m so concerned for you?

Is it just the repulsion of thoughts?

Or is it that we couldn’t get along together

Coz the bond that we shared wasn’t strong enough

To resist the corrosive clashes of our egos

 

Why did we loose the fight that we had inside

Why didn’t we reveal our naked souls to each other?

May be then we could have known that

Mere sharing of some moments together

Wasn’t bright enough to engulf the silence of the shadows

 

May be we should have heard the whispers

That came along with the cozy words of affection

May be then we wouldn’t have pushed ourselves so far apart

That the intoxicating loneliness was more comforting

Than the sweet lullaby you sung with a perfect façade

 

Misunderstanding… what is it ???

Huh !!! Was it just the beginning of the end?

Or was it the end of a perfect beginning…

This is a nice poem. My only qualms here with this is the word "Coz".
