Weeds

Weeds

A Poem by paperwizards

O little plant green yellow stem

Push and push 'til you are free

Crumble pavement avalanches

Under them

Since they can't see

O bright shade shadow flutter

In the wind your wild dance

Last small defiance in house of man

War with them

In your peaceful stance

O rend the grey and split the dark

And from black appears green

The soil where bright sex is made

Beneath them

Germination comes unseen

O burst forth untrodden nature

Tear the ground show your stored powers

Impossible to ignore green circles grow

Surround them

Weeds are no longer wallflowers

Thanks for championing the weed
tenacious plants that few appreciate
